Toasting with Ferrari during the Grand Gala of Italian Wine at the Pierre Hotel in New York
Ferrari will be there tomorrow Thursday, December 6 at the “Gala Italia, Special Edition” in the splendid setting of the Pierre Hotel. This special event, which will present a line-up of the most prestigious wineries of the peninsula, will reach its climax with the toasts to the President of the U.S. and the President of Italy as glasses of Ferrari sparkling wine are raised in honor of Barack Obama and Giorgio Napolitano. The Gala Italia starts at 11 a.m., Eastern time, with a large Wine & Food Tasting with no less than 500 people participating including experts, wine operators, specialized journalists, and a small selected group called to judge the selected labels proposed by the Italian wineries, as well as the most famous of the best of made in Italy in the wine sector. There will be not only Ferrari labels but also Rosso di Montefalco and Sagrantino wines from the Castelbuono Estate, which are produced in the cellar-sculpture designed by Arnaldo Pomodoro, who will be present because he will be awarded with an important recognition. Representing Ferrari and leading the tasting of Ferrari sparkling wines and the wines of the Castelbuono Estate will be the Vice President, Marcello Lunelli.
