An exceptional recognition celebrates the excellence and longevity of Ferrari Trento’s mountain sparkling wines: Ferrari Perlé 2002, part of the “Archivio di Famiglia” project, has been awarded the highest possible score of 100/100 at the The WineHunter Awards, the prestigious awards presented by the jury of the Merano WineFestival.
This marks the first time in the history of The WineHunter Awards that a wine has received a perfect 100/100 score. Only four wines achieved this milestone in the 2026 edition, with Ferrari Perlé 2002 being the only sparkling wine among them.
Made exclusively from 100% mountain-grown Chardonnay grapes, Ferrari Perlé 2002 demonstrates, more than twenty years after the harvest, the remarkable ability of Ferrari Trentodoc mountain sparkling wines to evolve over time while preserving their elegance and identity. The “Archivio di Famiglia” project is dedicated to rediscovering and showcasing some of the most representative historic vintages preserved in Ferrari’s cellars, now released with recent disgorgements following an exceptionally long period of ageing on the lees.
This prestigious result celebrates an exceptional vintage while conferming the longevity and profound expression of terroir that distinguish Ferrari Trentodoc wines.
The award was officially presented on the 7th of October in Rome, during the press conference for the presentation of the 35th edition of the Merano WineFestival.
