Ferrari Trento celebrates 70 years of the Autodromo di Imola with a dedicated F1® Edition

The new Trentodoc enriches the collection inspired by the iconic Formula 1® Championship circuits, for which Ferrari Trento is the official toast for the third year running.

Ferrari Trento, official toast of the Formula 1® Championship for the third year running, presents a new F1® Edition dedicated to Imola on the occasion of the celebrations for the seventieth anniversary of the Autodromo. After having represented Miami, Mexico City, Monza, Silverstone and Suzuka, Ferrari Trento has chosen three more iconic circuits for its F1®Edition for the 2023 season, first and foremost Imola.

The history of the Autodromo is closely linked to the surrounding area, the so-called Motor Valley, starting with the name ‘Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari’. It was named in 1988 after the death of the engineer, who in turn had wanted to name it after his son Dino, who died prematurely in 1970. Initially known for important motorbike races, the Autodromo hosted the Formula 1® Championship for the first time in 1980 with the Italian Grand Prix and then continued with twenty-six editions of the San Marino Grand Prix, from 1981 to 2006. Since 2020 it has hosted the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna and Made in Italy.

“Our extraordinary adventure in Formula 1® began at Imola in 2021. We are honoured to be able to celebrate with a special Ferrari Trentodoc to toast the seventieth anniversary of the Autodromo, which hosts a Grand Prix rich in tradition and dedicated to creations made in Italy,” commented Matteo Lunelli, President of Ferrari Trento.

The celebrations include a series of events, of which Ferrari Trentodoc sparkling wine will be the official toast. As with previous F1®Editions, the bottle dedicated to Imola is a cuvée Blanc de Blancs, an expression of the mountain Chardonnay that Ferrari Trento has made famous throughout the world. It is a Trentodoc that matures on the lees for at least 24 months, giving great intensity both on the nose, with notes of ripe fruit, hints of bread crust and hazelnut, and on the palate, with mineral sensations and hints of citrus fruit, which underline the freshness and finesse of its bubbles.

The design of the bottle is also consistent with the rest of the collection, with the label reproducing the stylised design of the circuit and the name, echoed on the top and bottom edges, in an eye-catching play on lettering, also reproduced on the packaging.

An unmissable edition for enthusiasts and collectors, who will thus be able to add another piece of Ferrari Trento and Formula 1® history to their cellar.
