Ferrari Maximum Crowned World Champion Blanc de Blancs and Italy’s Best Sparkling Wine
Ferrari Trento adds further prestigious accolades to its record at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, the most authoritative international competition dedicated exclusively to sparkling wines, founded by renowned critic Tom Stevenson. At the awards ceremony held on 29 October at Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London, Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs Magnum was crowned World Champion Blanc de Blancs and named Italy’s Best Sparkling Wine.
“We are particularly proud of this recognition,” comments Matteo Lunelli, President and CEO of Ferrari Trento, “because it honours a non-vintage Trentodoc, demonstrating our ability to maintain consistently high-quality year after year, in every single bottle. It further confirms Trentino’s extraordinary potential for producing outstanding sparkling wines, as well as the distinctive character of our mountain-grown Chardonnay. In the context of climate change, mountain viticulture represents an increasingly important competitive advantage: the altitude of our vineyards and their distinctive microclimatic conditions play a crucial role in preserving freshness, finesse and elegance.”
These awards add to the title of Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year, announced in September and awarded to Ferrari Trento for the ninth time overall and for the sixth consecutive year, thanks to the nine Gold Medals won by several of the House’s Trentodoc wines in the 2026 edition of the competition.
The triumphs in London crown a season remarkably rich in achievements, celebrating Ferrari Trento not only for the quality of its wines but also for its heritage and core values. On the 19th of October, at Milano Wine Week, the Lunelli family received the "Famiglie del Vino" (The Families of Wine) award, a tribute to the ability to safeguard and renew, generation after generation, a heritage of passion, expertise and entrepreneurial vision.
Furthermore, on the 25th of October in Rome, Ferrari Trento was selected as one of the ten iconic wineries chosen by Gambero Rosso to mark its 40th anniversary, in recognition of its contribution to the evolution of Italian wine.
From the highest recognition bestowed by international wine critics to the celebration of a family’s values and winemaking heritage, Ferrari Trento continues to affirm its role as an ambassador of Italian excellence around the world, carrying forward a legacy that continues to evolve over time. For Ferrari, after every toast, there is always a new goal to reach.
