Ferrari Trento and Paolo Troilo Together at Palazzo Reale: Ferrari Perlé Nero Becomes a Work of Art

In Ferrari Trento’s renewed dialogue with the world of art, Ferrari Perlé Nero becomes a work that joins the cultural enhancement journey of Palazzo Reale.
Ferrari Trento renews its dialogue with art through a collaboration with Paolo Troilo, the only artist in the world working in a figurative style that comes remarkably close to hyperrealism and is created entirely with his fingers. This distinctive technique has led him to exhibit internationally and is at the heart of the project “The Breach. Il muro rompe il silenzio”, opening on June 18 at Palazzo Reale in Milan.
Just as Troilo shapes matter with his own hands to reveal the essence of humanity, Ferrari Trento has cultivated its craft for more than a century, encapsulating excellence in every bottle. To celebrate this encounter, Paolo Troilo has created a work unlike any other in his artistic production: a Magnum bottle of Ferrari Perlé Nero Riserva became his canvas.
This Trentodoc was chosen because it represents a proud and complex challenge: mastering pure mountain-grown Pinot Noir to extract a nectar of great character—proudly unique and extraordinarily distinctive.
The artwork becomes part of the “The Breach. Il muro rompe il silenzio” exhibition path, which is not merely an exhibition but a true four-handed collaboration between the artist and the Palace itself. Inspired by the idea, “if these walls could speak,” the site-specific project unfolds within the Appartamento di Riserva, once visited by Napoleon, inhabited by Maria José of Belgium, and decorated by Margherita of Savoy.
Troilo’s monochromatic figures engage in a dialogue and merge with the historical materiality of the rooms: mirrors, beds, furnishings, and Rubelli’s antique Venetian fabrics. Enveloping the dark glass of Ferrari Perlé Nero, Troilo’s black-and-white strokes—depicting Queen Margherita—enhance the bottle’s silhouette, transforming the Magnum into a fully three-dimensional sculpture.
Through this initiative, Ferrari Trento reaffirms its commitment to the world of contemporary art, fostering dialogue between disciplines united by a passion for beauty and a shared desire to create emotions destined to endure over time.
