Cortina d’Ampezzo celebrates the upcoming Alpine Skiing World Cup with Ferrari’s bubbles
Once again, Ferrari winery plays the role of sparkling partner of the women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup in Cortina d’Ampezzo, an unmissable event of the season that this year happens to mark the beginning of the road to the 2021 Alpine World Ski Championships.
It was indeed the team of Fondazione Cortina 2021, OC of the downhill and Super G races of January 28-29, who asked Ferrari winery to partner up for the celebrations and the side events that will feature prominent guests against the exclusive backdrop of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The Trentodoc wines provided by Ferrari winery are considered the ”mountain bubbles” par excellance and for several years they have played a pivotal role in the most famous alpine ski resorts, capitalising on their fame as symbol of the Italian lifestyle.
The party is due to start at 6 PM on Friday, January 27, in Angelo Dibona square, where the best athletes gathered for the bib draw for the downhill scheduled for the following day will be welcomed with a glass of Ferrari wine. On Saturday, January 28, the starting numbers for the Super G for the following day and the prizes for the downhill will be awarded during a ceremony starring Ferrari’s bubbles.
On the morning of January 28-29, the liveliest moments of the races will see Ferrari winery not only on the podium to celebrate the winners with bottles of Ferrari Brut Trentodoc Jeroboam classic, but also in the VIP stand located in the finish area, where the guests of the OC will follow the races while tasting a wonderful menu created by 12 selected local restaurant owners accompanied by the bubbles of Ferrari Maximum Brut and the still wines produced in the Lunelli Estates.
During the weekend, all eyes will be on Lindsey Vonn, who over the last two years came first in both disciplines, smashing the record of total wins in the World Cup in 2015. In the meanwhile, Italian fans will rest their hopes in Sofia Goggia, who will be on the hunt for her first victory on the hills surrounding Cortina; a success that would be even more thrilling if celebrated on Italian soil with the best Italian bubbles!
